Simone Biles

Simone Biles, American gymnast (born 14 March 1997 Columbus Ohio U.S.) She was regarded as one of sport's best athletes. She was the first American female gymnast ever to win four gold medals during the same Games. At Rio de Janeiro, she was also the first female to win consecutive World All-Around titles. Biles grew up in Spring Texas in the Houston metropolitan area following the time she and her sister Adria received adoption by grandparents Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone was first introduced to gymnastics by her teacher at daycare Aimee Borman, when she was 6 years old. She stayed at Bannon's Gymnastix for 11 years. Biles was awarded a gold medal in floor exercises and also a bronze in vault during the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010, before advancing to the top level of competition in 2011. Within two years she had won the event. Biles was distinguished by her consistently high performance and exuberant personality as well as the difficulty she encountered at the four events she competed in including vault, bars with uneven surfaces and balance beam.
