
Salma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jimmyenezon 2 September 1966)[3][4][5[3][4][5]) is an American and Mexican actress. In Mexico she started her career with the role as Teresa in the television series (1989-1991) as well as El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) in which she was nominated for an Ariel Award. In films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999) She quickly made her mark as a leading actress in Hollywood. Hayek's portrayal of Frida Kahlo as a painter in Frida (2002) which was a biographical documentary she made which earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress nomination[66. She also received her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek continued to produce her films, and also starred in action-oriented pictures Once Upon a Time in Mexico in the following years.
