The oldest son of Francesco Stallone Sr. (a hairdresser) and Jackie Stallone (astrologer, and dancer). Frank Stallone Sr, his younger brother is an actor, musician, and hairdresser. Sylvester was left paralyzed on the left lower part of his face because of complications during birth. The actor now sports his iconic "snarling" expression, and a slightly his voice is slurred. Stallone was a part of his early years in foster care due to of the conflicting parent-child relationship. The couple divorced later. Stallone studied drama at the American College in Switzerland before moving on to the University of Miami. The actor left Miami before completing his degree and moved to New York City to pursue acting as a profession.
