Kelly Clarkson

KellyKelly Clarkson, in full Kelly Brianne Clarkson, (born April 24, 1982, Fort Worth, Texas, U.S.), American artist, singer, and TV personality who emerged as a pop-rock superstar after winning the popular television talent competition American Idol at the age of 22 in. Clarkson was born in Burleson (Texas), which is a suburb located in the vicinity of Fort Worth. Her vocal talent was recognized at seven years of age from the head of the choir department at the school she attended. After high school graduation, Clarkson moved on a trip to Los Angeles to try to get into the business world. After returning to Texas her name was announced as one of the contestants on the debut season of Fox Broadcasting Company's American Idol, a singing show that allowed the audience to decide which singer they liked best. Clarkson's personality, her voice and humor were instantly loved by the viewers. Her prize was $1 million, and she also signed a recording agreement with RCA.
