Julia-roberts
Julia Fiona Roberts was born in Atlanta on the 28th of October, 1967 in the home of Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts. Her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer who was also one of the first Roberts to settle in Atlanta. Her father was a young man when he became interested in theater. In 1952, while a student of Emory University, he performed on stage in a number of shows in Atlanta. He joined the military in 1953. While working in Biloxi Mississippi, was cast in an army production that featured Betty Lou Bredemus who was as well in Air Force. In 1955, the couple married and in 1956 their child Eric Anthony was born. Walter was a student at Tulane University at New Orleans In 1957, the city of Louisiana where the couple left the US Air Force. In 1960 the family moved from Louisiana to Decatur Georgia where Walter began working with Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. Walter and Betty Lou produced a Saturday matinee local TV show that was aimed at children, known as Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964. It was a venture they self-financed. Later that year they founded the Actors and Writers Workshop which ran for six years. In the meantime, they also had two children Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in 1965 as well as Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
