Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28, 1967. Roberts is from the fourth generation of Roberts family that lived in Atlanta. The story started with her grandfather John Pendleton Roberts who was a farm. Her father's passion for theatre was inherited by her. in the theatre at a young time. He performed on at the Emory University campus in 1952 and in other productions in Atlanta. When he joined in 1953 the Air force and was spotted with Betty Lou Bredemus in Biloxi. In 1955, the couple got married and, in 1956, their son Eric Anthony was born. Walter went to Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana after he left the Airforce in the year 1957. Walter began his work at Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. Walter as well as Betty Lou financed their own production of a children's Sunday matinee show called Bum Bum and His Buddies. Later that year they founded The Actors and Writers Workshop which was in operation for a period of six years. They had Lelisa Billingsley (also called Lisa) and Julia (also also known as Julie) at the time.
